How Riding Your Bike Can Help Save The Environment

Global warming is a serious issue society faces. Global warming refers to the emission of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere which can deplete the ozone layer and have other adverse effects. There are a variety of behaviors that have contributed to an increased risk of global warming over the years, and one of them is driving a car with gasoline. The emission of gasoline into the atmosphere results in the death of thousands of wildlife species every year and harms the environment.

One way to eliminate the need for driving cars with gasoline is to use bikes. Riding a bicycle does not require gasoline, which is healthier for the environment. In addition, riding a bicycle can help a household to save money. With the rising prices of gasoline, many households are struggling to make ends meet. A household may then be able to use its financial savings to purchase products that are eco-friendly, since they tend to cost more then ordinary products.

Riding a bike to work or school is also safer for wildlife animals. Every year, thousands of wildlife animals are killed by distracted drivers. In riding a bike, one is much less likely to hit a wildlife animal.
